Terms of Use
Last updated: 1 October 2026 · Effective: 1 October 2026
Summary: Hamd is offered to help you in your worship. You are responsible for your account, please be respectful in the community, and remember that the religious content in the app is informational and is not a substitute for qualified religious guidance. Subscriptions are billed by your app store and can be cancelled at any time.
1. Parties and scope
These terms govern your use of Hamd, the mobile app developed and published by Fahrettin Türedioğlu, and of this website. By downloading, installing or using the app you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the app.
How your personal data is handled is explained in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
If you downloaded the app from the Apple App Store, your use of it is also governed by Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA).
2. The service
Hamd provides prayer times and reminders, a qibla compass, Qur'an reading and listening, translation options, a dhikr counter, elifba lessons, khatm plans, a qada tracker, a worship calendar, goals, badges, a home screen widget and community features. Features may be added, changed or removed over time.
Parts of the app require an internet connection and location permission. We are not responsible for interruptions caused by your connection, device or operating system.
3. Your account
- Core features work without an account. Sync and community require one.
- You must provide accurate information, keep your password confidential, and you are responsible for activity under your account.
- You may not transfer your account or share it with several people.
- Tell us immediately if you notice unauthorised use of your account.
- You can delete your account from within the app at any time (see the Privacy Policy).
4. Acceptable use
When using the app you agree not to:
- Break applicable law or infringe the rights of others,
- Reverse-engineer the app, attempt to obtain its source code or circumvent its security measures,
- Overload the systems with automated tools (bots, scrapers) or harvest data in bulk,
- Access Premium features without paying or bypass subscription verification,
- Create fake accounts, impersonate others, or inflate dhikr or leaderboard figures artificially,
- Distribute malware, spam or unsolicited promotion through the app.
5. Community rules
The community section exists for shared worship and supplication. In your posts:
- Insults, hate speech, discrimination, harassment and threats are prohibited.
- Sexual content, violence, promotion of illegal activity and obscenity are prohibited.
- Political propaganda, commercial advertising and spam are prohibited.
- Do not share private details — identity numbers, phone numbers, addresses — of yourself or others.
- Be respectful of differences in school of thought and opinion; do not use degrading or excommunicating language.
We may remove content that breaks these rules and suspend the account involved without prior notice. If you come across objectionable content, report it to turediogluf@gmail.com; reports are reviewed within 24 hours and, where warranted, the content is removed and the account is blocked.
6. Content and intellectual property
The rights in the app's code, design, logo, text and imagery belong to the developer. You are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes.
Qur'an text, translations, recitations and map data come from third-party sources and remain subject to their own licences. You keep the rights in the content you create in the app (prayer requests, group names, khatm entries and so on); you grant us a limited licence to display that content to the relevant community members and to store it for the operation of the service. You may share verse images personally.
7. Note on religious content
Prayer times are calculated from your chosen method and the accuracy of your location; the qibla direction relies on your device's compass and location sensors. Deviations are possible. When in doubt, follow the official calendar and local means available to you.
Translations, supplications and guide texts in the app are informational and do not constitute personal religious counsel or a fatwa.
8. Premium subscription
- Premium is offered as fixed-term, auto-renewing subscriptions and as a one-time lifetime purchase that does not renew. Current packages, prices and durations are shown on the premium screen in the app and on the store listing.
- You do not need an account to buy Premium. A purchase can be restored on your other devices that use the same App Store or Google Play account with "Restore purchases"; if you sign in, Premium also follows your account.
- Payment is charged to your Apple App Store or Google Play account on confirmation of purchase.
- Unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, the subscription renews automatically for the same duration, and renewal is charged within the 24 hours before the period ends.
- Cancel from your store account settings (iOS: Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions; Android: Google Play → Subscriptions). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period, and you keep Premium features until then.
- Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription.
- Any unused portion of a free trial ends when you convert to a paid subscription.
- If prices change you will be informed in advance under the store's rules and may cancel if you do not wish to continue.
9. Cancellation and refunds
Because purchases are made through the stores, refunds follow store policy: Apple's refund process for iOS and Google Play's refund process for Android. We cannot issue refunds directly, so requests must be made to the store.
Statutory exceptions to the right of withdrawal for digital content whose performance begins immediately with your consent are reserved.
10. Third-party services
The app relies on third-party services for Qur'an text, translations, audio, prayer times, maps and payments. We do not control their availability, accuracy or their own terms. The list of sources is in the Privacy Policy.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
Hamd is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that all content will always be complete and current. To the extent permitted by law, all express and implied warranties are disclaimed.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or punitive damages, loss of data or loss of profit arising from your use of or inability to use the app. In any event our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim arose. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.
13. Suspension and termination
If you breach these terms or the community rules we may warn you or, depending on the severity, suspend or close your account directly. You may end this agreement at any time by deleting your account. Termination does not affect rights and obligations that have already arisen.
14. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated. For significant changes we will notify you in the app and update the date on this page. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the new terms.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, and the courts and enforcement offices of Istanbul have jurisdiction. As a consumer, you keep the right to apply to the consumer arbitration committees and consumer courts where you live, and the mandatory consumer provisions of your country of residence continue to apply.
